Welcome
Canefield House is located in the historic British Virgin Islands, on the island of Tortola, high above Brewers Bay. Its ten acres of 17th century sugar plantation grounds, the original steppes where the island’s world-famous rums were born, now offer breathtaking views of local tropical forest and dramatic “ghut”, the jewel-like crescent bay, and the expansive open Atlantic Ocean.
The villa is comprised of three separate houses – Main, Master, and Guest, and a central pool and sunning deck. The houses are stepped down and across the face of the hillside, and are connected by a network of tile walkways accentuated at every turn by flowering hibiscus of every hue, fuscia and purple bougainville, red ginger, red and yellow heliconia, and yellow white alamanda. Below the houses, and on the slopes of the yard are fruit-bearing banana, coconut, grapefruit, key lime, mango, papaya, and passion fruit trees.
The houses are each furnished in colorful tropical fabrics and rugs, and finished with deep varnished tropical woods and brass fittings. All modern amenities, including internet and telephone access, are available in each of three bedroom suites, as well as in the complete audio and video entertainment center of the Main house.
